Description

The F.E. Weymouth Water Treatment Plant, built in 1940 as the Metropolitan Water District’s first filtration plant, now delivers up to 520 million gallons of potable water per day. Morrow Meadows upgraded the facility by installing new medium‑voltage power distribution, electrical switchgear, unit substations, motor control centers, instrumentation, controls, fiber‑optic and communication systems. The project included two new buildings, yard conduits and piping, utility modifications, rail spur replacement, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning. It received the NECA 2013 Electrical Excellence Award.
