Description

Morrow-Meadows provided electrical installation services for the Kiewit/Shea Joint Venture on a large-scale seawater desalination facility. The plant processes 100 million gallons of seawater per day, converting half into high-quality drinking water, while the other half is safely returned to the ocean after dilution. Key onsite improvements include an intake pump station, pipeline, concentrate return pipeline, sewer connection, electrical transmission lines, road upgrades, and a product water pump station. As the largest desalination plant in the Western Hemisphere, the electrical work included temporary power, lighting, medium voltage distribution, and instrumentation & controls.
