Fleet Service Technician I
Morrow-Meadows Corporation is accepting applications for a full-time Service Technician I to support the maintenance and repair of company vehicles and light construction equipment. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic diagnostics while working under the guidance of senior technicians. The Technician I position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who values safety, takes pride in quality work, and is motivated to build technical skills in a structured, team oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs safety inspections, work quality control, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance on automobiles, light and medium duty trucks, electric carts, and light construction equipment.
- Assists in diagnosing and repairing systems and components including powertrain, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, HVAC, exhaust, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and basic computer controlled systems.
- Completes basic repairs and component replacements under direction of senior technicians.
- Responds to road calls and assists with on-site diagnostics and repairs.
- Maintains accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
- Identifies required parts, prepares parts request forms, and verifies accuracy of received parts.
- Maintains tools and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Disposes of hazardous materials in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Participates in Company required training and keeps current with evolving vehicle and equipment technology.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience performing mechanical maintenance and repair on vehicles or equipment, or completion of a formal technical training program.
- Valid Class C California Driver’s License with a clean driving record at time of hire.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions related to mechanical repair work.
- Ability to interpret sketches, diagrams, and basic technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills including word processing and digital recordkeeping.
- Must supply and maintain small hand tools measuring less than one inch and twenty four millimeters in size.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to travel up to two nights per month as needed.
- ASE Certification preferred.

The compensation range for this position is: $25.00-$35.00/hour. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
